GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions® breaks ground on new office site

Surrey, B.C. – GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions®, one of Canada’s largest and most respected independent employee benefits providers, celebrated the ground breaking of their new corporate headquarters on February 27, 2019. The event was attended by the GroupHEALTH executive team and employees, who will move to the facility when it is completed in 2020.
The new office building, GroupHEALTH Place, will be located at 15303 31st Avenue, South Surrey, in a growing commercial centre. The building will be four stories tall and boast 55,000 sq. ft. of office space, including state-of-the-art meeting and collaborative workspaces, along with lunch facilities. It will be home to 340 West Coast employees, who are a part of the team helping to drive the company’s rapid growth across Canada. GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions also recently built an administration office in Barrie, Ont., which opened in October 2017.
GroupHEALTH is working with local contractors, including Wales McLelland Construction to build their new headquarters.
“We have grown to more than 500 employees across Canada and are continuing to expand,” said GroupHEALTH CEO, Matt Houghton. “A bigger space on the West Coast will allow us to continue to provide a best-in-class employee experience so that we can continue to support and serve our growing client base. This new corporate centre will further enhance our wellness and team-building activities, as well as training and career development opportunities for all staff.”
