GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions® to Partner with Ultimate Software for New Human Resource Information System

ULTIMATE SOFTWARE

Surrey, B.C. – GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions®, one of Canada’s largest and most respected independent employee benefits providers, has selected Ultimate Software to provide a new human capital management (HCM) solution to the company.

Ultimate Software delivers innovative products and services that enable its customers to put people first. The company focuses on cloud solutions that give customers the means to build people-centric environments that help elevate the work experience.

“At GroupHEALTH, we know that our people are our most important assets. It was clear that Ultimate Software is a great fit for us culturally and because of the functionality it provides, which meets our specific and growing needs,” said Simon Blunden, GroupHEALTH Director, People and Culture. “As GroupHEALTH continues to prosper and as the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies expands, our HR system requirements will also change. We need to work with a dynamic company that can provide us with a unified solution that will adapt and grow with us.”

GroupHEALTH undertook an extensive Request for Proposal (RFP) process prior to selecting Ultimate Software’s UltiPro®. The search objective was to find and implement a scalable and unified HRIS solution across the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies, which is made up of diverse geographic and service-focused businesses. The organization requires a system that improves efficiency, increases effectiveness with workforce management decision making, and provides accurate and reliable data. Ultimate’s UltiPro was chosen unanimously by the cross-functional selection team to deliver this service. Deployment is set to begin in January 2019.

The opportunity to explore strategic synergies between the two organizations was a key factor in GroupHEALTH’s decision to choose UltiPro. GroupHEALTH’s best-in-class benefits administration services and Ultimate’s best-of-breed enterprise solution represent crucial components of the human resources experience. By bringing these together within GroupHEALTH’s HRIS launch, each organization can explore how the holistic human resources experience can be improved through systems and process integration.
