GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions appoints Simon Blunden, Director, People and Culture

Surrey,  B.C.  –  Valentina Araneda, Chief Financial Officer of GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions®, one of Canada’s largest and most respected third-­‐party benefits administrators, recently announced the appointment of Simon Blunden to GroupHEALTH to the role of Director, People and Culture. In this newly created position, Blunden, who will be based in GroupHEALTH’s South Surrey, B.C. head office, will oversee human resource initiatives across the company’s offices throughout Canada.

Blunden brings experience from a diverse 20-­‐year career in the human resource field, working in business-­‐to-­‐business and business-­‐to-­‐consumer services in a variety of sectors including communications, hospitality, media sales, and most recently, in the transportation sector. He specializes in employee relations, performance management, leadership development, recruitment,  and compensation and benefits.
